Updates to Mask Policy
Based on updated guidance and Emergency Orders from MiOSHA and MDHHS, patrons who are not fully vaccinated are still required to wear a face mask in the library. Library employees who are not fully vaccinated will also be required to wear a face mask in the library. read more Updates to Mask Policy
Financial Literacy Kits, Resources Available
The Michigan Tech Employees Federal Credit Union and Portage Lake District Library are proud to announce their partnership in launching a new financial literacy display located at PLDL. At Home Ancestry Access Extended
Remote access to the library’s subscription to Ancestry has been extended through September 30, 2021. This means library card holders can access Ancestry Library Edition from anywhere with an internet connection. read more At Home Ancestry Access Extended
PLDL No Longer Holding Returned Materials in Quarantine
The practice of holding returned items in quarantine for 72 hours was based on limited COVID-19 data, which has since been expanded with revised guidance from the CDC. Rabbit Island School Scholarships Now Available
The Rabbit Island Foundation and the Portage Lake District Library are partnering to host a place-based arts and ecology program for area students.
