PLDL Board of Trustees
The Library’s Board of Trustees hosts their monthly public meeting on Wednesday, February 26, from 7 – 8:00pm. Meetings are typically held the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7pm at PLDL.
Post-Religion Support Group
This group meeting on Tuesday, February 25, from 6 – 7:30pm is for formerly religious people to find solace in the company of others who’ve had similar experiences. Topics of discussion may include post-religion life, existential crises, changing family dynamics, and Religious Trauma Syndrome. Light refreshments will be served. UP Energy Task Force Review
On Saturday, Feb. 22, from 12:30 – 2:30pm, come to the Portage Lake District Library to learn about and discuss the work of the UP Energy Task Force. Task Force members will give an overview of UP energy system and an update on the first phase of the UP Energy Task Force on propane supply.
Copper Country Toastmasters
Toastmasters, an international organization that gives people opportunities to improve their public speaking, communication, and leadership skills, will meet at PLDL on Monday, February 24, from 6:30 – 7:30pm . Each meeting features prepared speeches from members as well as chances to practice impromptu speaking.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate Video Game Tournament
Join us on Friday, February 21, from 5 – 7:00pm at the library for a video game tournament! To build a new video game collection, we will be holding a Super Smash Bros Ultimate Video Game Tournament.
