PLDL CLOSURE NOTICE

Due to hazardous weather and staff illness, PLDL will close early on Friday, March 28, at 1:00 PM and remain closed Saturday, March 29. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Library Closing Early Tuesday, 3/7, 4pm

PLDL will be closing early on Tuesday, March 7, at 4pm to complete the painting in the lobby and public bathrooms. We will reopen at 10am on Wed, March 8.

School’s Out Craft

Join us on Monday, February 20, from 2 – 4pm for a drop-in, self directed craft at the library. This craft will feature DIY tile coasters. Everything for your craft will be provided. Those 8 and younger will need to be accompanied by a person 14 and older as per our Unaccompanied Child Policy.

Keweenaw Garden Club: Why Natives?

Keweenaw Wild Ones president Marcia Goodrich will discuss the value of native plants on Monday, February 20, from 6:30 – 7:30pm, focusing on their critical role in America’s ecosystems and the benefits they bring to homeowners and communities. She will include examples of local native gardens, sources for buying native plants, and more.

Winter Reading Challenge 2023

From January 12 to March 11, PLDL is participating in READsquared’s online annual winter reading program, “Snow is Falling, Books are Calling.” This challenge is designed to encourage life-long reading habits for all ages. Fly Tying Class

The Copper Country Chapter of Trout Unlimited (CCCTU) is hosting a fly tying workshop on Tuesdays, from 6-7:30pm, beginning January 17 and continuing through February.
