Winter Reading Program
This year, we are thrilled to kick-off a new, annual Winter Reading Program! Our 2021 Winter Reading Program challenges adults, teens, and junior level readers to log 5 books over the winter months. Stay warm this winter with good books, and a special prize for participants who complete the program!
The 2021 Winter Reading Program theme is water protection and resources. We are challenging all participants to make one of their five reads a water-related title selected by library staff. Free copies of the following water-related titles are available for pick-up from the library this winter:
- For adult readers: What the Eyes Don’t See: A Story of Crisis, Resistance, and Hope in an American City By Dr. Mona-Hanna Attisha
- For young adult readers: Memory of Water by Emmi Itäranta
- For junior level readers: Poisoned Water: How the Citizens of Flint, Michigan, Fought for their Lives and Warned the Nation by Candy J. Cooper
The program will also include activity challenges, such as viewing our recorded Dr. Mona author talk that took place in October, 2020.
